Dr. Solomon Mutua - Consultant Clinical Oncologist

MBChB (UoN), MMed (UKZN), FC Rad Onc (CMSA) 


Dr. Solomon Mutua is a Clinical Oncologist who specialises in Medical and Radiation Oncology. He is based at The Nairobi West Hospital in Kenya, where he leads the oncology department.

Dr. Mutua holds medical degrees from the University of Nairobi and the University of KwaZulu-Natal, along with a Fellowship in Radiation Oncology from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa.


He has extensive experience in advanced radiotherapy techniques such as IMRT (Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy), VMAT (Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy), IGRT (Image-Guided Radiation Therapy), TBI (Total Body Irradiation), SRS (Stereotactic Radiosurgery), and Brachytherapy.

Additionally, he is skilled in radiopharmaceutical therapies, including I-131, Lutetium-177, and Y-90 SIRT (Selective Internal Radiation Therapy), as well as systemic cancer treatments like chemotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal agents, and immunotherapy.


Dr. Mutua is recognized for his patient-centered and compassionate approach, particularly in counseling and communication, which makes him a trusted leader in the field of cancer care.
